Martha Graham Dance Company Highlights

The Martha Graham Dance Company will present a special performance at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice on May 8, coinciding with the Venice Biennale. This event is part of a broader initiative by Works & Process, which supports performing artists through fully funded creative residencies and behind-the-scenes events that enhance audience engagement.

During the spring season, the company will showcase a new work by Jamar Roberts, created in part during a residency at The Church in Sag Harbor. This performance will feature excerpts from Roberts's piece "We The People," highlighting the company's commitment to innovative choreography and artistic exploration.

Additionally, principal dancer Xin Ying will present excerpts from her new work "In the Folds of Her Purple," which integrates movement and technology, reflecting on Martha Graham's legacy. This performance will also include a moderated discussion to provide insights into the creative process.
